As a host of the event through a cooperative with Mitsubishi Motors Thailand Foundation (MMTF), Mr. Eiichi Koito, President and CEO of Mitsubishi Motors Thailand and Chairman of MMTF said, “Mitsubishi Motors Thailand’s closeness with the Sri Racha communities in Chon Buri dates back since 1992 when we established our Factory 1 in Laem Chabang industrial estate. We are pleased to give back to communities through the Mitsubishi Motors Charity Run to enhance the health and well-being of the people as well as raise financial support for the Queen Savang Vadhana Memorial Hospital.”

“Our CSR activities consist of three core pillars, including ‘environment’, ‘education’ and ‘health’. Obviously, this charity run is aimed at promoting ‘health’ with Thai people. We will continue to bring joy to local communities with this event every year,” Koito added.

This year, almost 5,000 runners joined the 3rd Mitsubishi Motors Charity Run, covering areas around the Bang Phra reservoir in Si Racha, Chon Buri. Running distances included a 5-km Fun Run and a 10-km Mini Marathon. The starting point was at the Rajamangala University of Technology Tawan-ok. The route took runners along the scenes of Bang Phra Reservoir in the northwestern part of the Chon Buri province.

“The return of the Mitsubishi Motors Charity Run 2022 is welcomed by participants, now that the Covid-19 situation is more manageable. The scenic beauty of the route in Sri Racha also made this a race that runners eagerly anticipated and participated in,” said Itthipol Samutthong, one of the runners in the event.

The Queen Savang Vadhana Memorial Hospital was founded in 1902 by Her Majesty Queen Savang Vadhana, the Queen Grandmother of Thailand, whose royal initiatives covered medicine and public health, education, culture and social welfare, which contributed much to the welfare of Thai people.
