Mr. Morikazu Chokki, Chairman of Mitsubishi Motors Thailand Foundation stated that Mitsubishi Motors Thailand has continuously operated its business in Thailand for over 60 years. With our strong ambition to support all Thais, we established “Mitsubishi Motors Thailand Foundation (MMTF)” which serves as a nonprofit organization, with an aim to benefit the society through three focuses in 1) environment 2) health, and 3) education and morality under our vision on social contribution commitment: “To Contribute and Grow with Thai society”. This year, we have carried out a number of projects, including material donations to hospitals to help them cushion the impact of the COVID-19 surges and 60-Rai Forestation Project in Chonburi and Sa Kaoe.
“Mitsubishi Motors Thailand, in collaboration with the Equitable Education Fund (EEF), an organization under the regulation of the Prime Minister, initiated the “Mitsubishi Motors Give Chance, Give Education” program to award scholarships to middle school students who achieved impressive academic performance, enabling them to develop their potential independently. For this year, the program has awarded the scholarships to a total of 100 students, 70 from Chonburi and 30 from Pathum Thani. These students are from schools situated within the territory of Mitsubishi Motors Thailand’s manufacturing hub in Laem Chabang and its training academy. I’d like to congratulate all the students who received the scholarships this year and hope that they’ll be studying hard and stay committed to pursuing their dreams. Moreover, I’d like to hereby express my thankfulness to all of the relevant sectors that have been a great support to this program." added Mr. Chokki .
Mr. Nopporn Suvanruji, a member of the Subcommittee on Management of Treasury or Assets Donated to Equitable Education Fund, said that “I’d like to express my appreciation to Mitsubishi Motors Thailand for this scholarship effort that establishes educational equality for all and mitigates burdens related to educational expenses for their families. The EEF itself has a mission to reform and address educational disparities, and this program is, therefore, a firm collaboration between Mitsubishi Motors Thailand, EEF, and the Basic Education Commission of Thailand (OBEC) of the Ministry of Education where all potential resources have been mobilized to introduce and materially fulfil educational opportunities, which can also be referred to as “All for Education”.
The Mitsubishi Motors Give Chance, Give Education program was established in 2020 and has already entered its second year. The program was aimed to grant scholarships to middle school students who achieved outstanding academic performance and always behave well, by joining forces with the Equitable Education Fund (EEF) to strengthen educational opportunities which will ultimately lead to sustainable potential development of Thai youths. Mitsubishi Motors Thailand is still purposefully committed to supporting the education sector to Thai youths through several projects continually and sustainably.
