Mr. Eiichi Koito, President & CEO of Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd., said: “Our Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV can be used as normal hybrid without charging facility, but its attractiveness could be enhanced by charging and can be used as EV. We are pleased to join the PEA VOLTA charging station opening ceremony to provide interested parties to experience driving and charging the vehicle at a PEV VOLTA charging station, and to experience how safe and convenience the charging infrastructure is. Previously, Mitsubishi Motors Thailand, PEA and Delta Electronics Thailand signed the MOU last December with the aim to accelerate EV take-up in Thailand. The partnership will enhance EV driving experience in Thailand through PEA’s mobile application that helps drivers find charging stations nationwide conveniently and effortlessly.”

“Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV drivers can charge their vehicles at PEA VOLTA, MEA and EGAT charging stations. They can also use Quick Charge at authorized Mitsubishi Motors Thailand dealerships. For more information customers can contact Mitsubishi Call Center 02-079-9500 available 24 hours daily or use the M-Drive Application,” added Mr. Koito.

Charging the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV is easy and convenient. It can be charged to 100 percent in four hours using a standard household socket. If CHAdeMO Quick Charge is used in one of the charging locations, it will charge the vehicle to 80 percent in about 25 minutes. Drivers can also activate the Save/Charge function by pushing a button in the vehicle to charge the batteries to nearly full in 40-45 minutes. The engine also operates during driving and parking to provide zero range-anxiety.
