Mitsubishi Triton ‘Rukkit Edition’ Passion and Determination

Bangkok, April 29, 2021: Mitsubishi Motors Thailand has collaborated with Mr. Rukkit Kuanhavej to create Mitsubishi Triton ‘Rukkit Edition’ pickup truck that is the perfect collaboration among Mitsubishi Motors’ passion and the talent of Thailand, crafted specially for customers with unique passion to show the distinctive life style.

Launched during the 42nd Bangkok International Motor Show 2021, Mitsubishi Triton ‘Rukkit Edition’ is based on the new Mitsubishi Triton Mega Cab, and available for sales as one of Mitsubishi Motors Thailand 60th anniversary’s special edition.

The reason for the collaboration is straightforward, both Mitsubishi Motors Thailand and Mr. Rukkit Kuanhavej share similar philosophies, ‘Ambition to Explore’ and also in line with Mitsubishi Motors’ global tagline ‘Drive Your Ambition’ that promises customers with new experiences to expand their activities and meet new challenges. It also encourages passion and drives people to their success.

Mr. Rukkit is a renowned a graphic designer and street artist specialized in creating mind-blowing figurative language arts with his strong, signature geometrical patterns. He has worked with numerous global brands and products that push the boundaries of traditional fashion.

"My passion is to explore and create unique artistic expressions. I am very determined in achieving my ambitions and I constantly go beyond boundaries to explore and achieve them. For this truck, my inspiration came from the name ‘Triton’. In Greek mythology, Triton is the son of Poseidon, the God of the Sea. The Mitsubishi Triton ‘Rukkit Edition’ reflects this inspiration. I used strong and colorful graphics to make the strong and powerful-looking truck even greater. I wanted to make it ‘The Great Triton’. To me, this special model is the celebration of passion and an exceptionally unique style,” Mr. Rukkit said.

Sharing the same ‘Engineered Beyond Tough’ concept with the rest of the range, Mitsubishi Triton ‘Rukkit Edition’ combines toughness and durability with contemporary and urban sporty styling. The truck also comes with seven-inch infotainment touchscreen that supports Apple CarPlay(1) and Android Auto(2).

Power comes from the globally proven with its toughness and power, 2.5L four-cylinder in-line DOHC 16-valve turbo-diesel engine with intercooler featuring common-rail fuel injection. Safety features include Dual SRS Airbag, Anti-lock Braking System with Electronic Brake Force Distribution and Brake Override System.

Mitsubishi Triton ‘Rukkit Edition’ is priced at THB 647,000(3) and available in Sunflare Orange, Solid White and Jet Black Mica. All variants feature a black roof finish. As of 60th Anniversary Edition, our customers are also invited to play a role and help us to foster sustainable development and affect positive difference as a part of the community. Towards every purchasing of Mitsubishi Triton ‘Rukkit Edition’ before December 31, 2021. Mitsubishi Motors Thailand will donate cash THB 2,000(4) per unit for charity. Proceeds from the donations will be in line with its three key focuses in education, sustainable environment and health & wellbeing of Thais.
