Mitsubishi Motors Thailand Unveils Specifications & Prices of All-New Triton ATHLETE and Triton Double Cab ULTRA 4WD AT

BANGKOK – November 10, 2023: Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd. today unveils specifications and prices of two top-of-the-line variants for their range of all-new pickup trucks. They are the All-New Mitsubishi Triton ATHLETE that comes with a new, more powerful Hyper Power X2 engine boasting 204 ps and 470 Nm of torque, and the All-New Mitsubishi Triton Double Cab Ultra 4WD AT, equipped with the new ‘Hyper Power engine delivering 184 ps and 430 Nm of torque that has excellent fuel efficiency.

Mitsubishi Motors has completely redesigned the All-New Mitsubishi Triton lineup to cater to the personal lifestyles of the new generation of pickup truck users. The focus is on delivering the utmost comfort and luxury within the cabin while enhancing the driving experience comparable to European SUVs. Equipped with a full array of convenient features and high-quality materials, the trucks feature redesigned seats aimed at providing enhanced support and reducing fatigue during long drives. Combined with the updated, bigger ‘Mega Frame’, new suspension and new larger chassis, they offer driving performance that is comfortable yet agile on city streets as well as on long journeys. The All-New Triton ATHLETE, in particular, is the epitome of sporty pickup trucks as it stands out with its striking exterior and luxurious interior, while capturing attention with its bold and sharp lines. Meanwhile, the All-New Triton Double Cab Ultra 4WD AT is designed with sleek and distinctive styling, setting it apart from the competition.

Diamond Sense with Adaptive Cruise Control:

The 4WD and 2WD variants of the All-New Mitsubishi Triton ATHLETE and the All-New Mitsubishi Triton Double Cab Ultra 4WD AT come with Diamond Sense with Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Mitigation System (FCM), Blind Spot Warning (BSW), Lane Change Assist (LCA), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Auto High Beam (AHB) and Multi Around Monitor (MAM). All these safety technologies are capable of monitoring the vehicle's movement and its 360-degree surroundings through sensors and radar controlled by artificial intelligence. Other safety features that make driving become safer, easier and allow for precise control of the truck include Hill-Start Assist (HSA), Hill Descent Control (HDC), Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake-Force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA), Active Stability Control (ASC), Traction Control System (TCL), and brake control-type Limited Slip Differential (Active LSD), and seven airbags.

The All-New Mitsubishi Triton ATHLETE is also powered by the Hyper Power X2 engine with two-stage turbocharger. They are equipped with Electric Power Steering (EPS) that enhances agile and responsive driving, offering full control at drivers’ fingertips. The entire performance package is stylishly finished in the All-New Mitsubishi Triton ATHLETE with four color selections including Jet Black Mica, Graphite Grey, White Diamond and Yamabuki Orange, which is exclusive to the Athlete variant, while the interior continues with the sporty concept featuring a two-tone orange-black finishing.

The All-New Mitsubishi Triton ATHLETE and All-New Mitsubishi Triton Double Cab Ultra 4WD AT are ready to reach any destination, regardless of road conditions, thanks to Mitsubishi Motors’ legendary Super Select 4WD II. Mitsubishi Motor’s 4WD system is uniquely developed with full-time 4H system that can switch from 2H to 4H on the fly, even while driving at high speeds (Shift-on-the-Fly). The trucks also come with Active Yaw Control (AYC) and seven drive modes for conquering all weather conditions and all types of terrains including Normal, Eco, Gravel, Snow, Mud, Sand and Rock.

MITSUBISHI CONNECT is available in both the 4WD and 2WD variants of the All-New Mitsubishi Triton ATHLETE, as well as in the All-New Mitsubishi Triton Double Cab Ultra 4WD AT. The platform delivers wireless Connectivity & Controllability via My MITSUBISHI CONNECT app, with special functions including Remote Start of Air-conditioning system, Remote Door Lock/Unlock, Car Finder, Remote Lights-on, Remote Horn and vehicle status in real time. Other functions include Vehicle Status Report such as Fuel Level & Remaining Distance, Tire Pressures, Emergency Assistance (SOS) via “e-call”, Roadside Assistance, Automatic Collision Notification, and Stolen Vehicle Assistance.

Prices for the top-of-the-line All-New Mitsubishi Triton are as follows:

- All-New Mitsubishi Triton Double Cab Ultra 4WD AT – is priced at THB 1,228,000, with estimated delivery dates within the first half of December 2023.
- All-New Mitsubishi Triton ATHLETE 2WD is estimated to be priced around THB 1,130,000 while Mitsubishi Triton ATHLETE 4WD is estimated to be priced around THB 1,300,000. For both of the 2WD and 4WD variants, the first delivery start is estimated to be around the end of February 2024.

Members of the public are also invited to meet all variants of the All-New Mitsubishi Triton at the 40th Thailand International Motor Expo 2023 from November 30 – December 11, 2023 at Impact Challenger 1-3 Muang Thong Thani. Test-drives of All-New Triton are also available at the Motor Expo 2023.
