TAQA’s latest survey finds Mitsubishi Motors Thailand the most favorable brand for sales and aftersales service satisfaction

BANGKOK – August 16, 2022: Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd. has received additional recognition from Thailand Automotive Quality Award (TAQA) 2021 as passenger car and one-ton pickup owners in Thailand continue to favor Mitsubishi vehicles across all sales service satisfaction dimensions. With that, the company has earned the top spot in Sales Service Satisfaction for passenger cars and one-ton pickup trucks for 2021. This follows the two awards Mitsubishi Motors Thailand received in December last year for outstanding after sales service in the same categories, which the company has won for two consecutive years.

According to the TAQA report, Mitsubishi Motors Thailand has the highest sales service satisfaction rating in both passenger cars and one-ton pickup trucks segments with total scores of 954 and 971, respectively. These scores exceed the industry average of 920 for passenger cars and 932 for one-ton pickup trucks in a 1,000-point scale. The report, which is based on responses from 2,185 samples, also indicated that Mitsubishi Motors Thailand earned the highest customer loyalty and brand loyalty scores in both segments.

The TAQA survey examines eight dimensions of customer satisfaction. They include manufacturer website, dealer website or social media, sales initiation, showroom facility, salespersons, deals and negotiation, vehicle delivery and after vehicle delivery follow-up. The survey interviewed customers who purchased Mitsubishi vehicles from authorized service centers and are still using the vehicles in their daily lives. The interviews were conducted between April and December 2021.

“Together with our distinguished car models empowered by our DNA of ‘Mitsubishi Motors-ness,’ with ‘Fast,’ ‘Robust,’ and ‘Comfort’ values, another important philosophy of us is ‘Satisfaction is our product,’ which can be provided at all customer touchpoints. Our 230 outlets located in every province of Thailand allow us to accommodate the growing number of customers in the country and make Mitsubishi Motors Thailand dealerships the third largest in the automotive sector. The ongoing training sessions have been organized to ensure the competency of our dealer personnel. Over 150 training sessions were conducted for Mitsubishi sales consultants throughout the fiscal year 2021. Our call center is so active that the upper management executives frequently acknowledge the issues and collaborate to provide customers with the best solutions. In recognition of our efforts to foster maximum customer satisfaction, we have won awards for ‘Outstanding After Sales Service Satisfaction for Passenger Car’ and ‘Outstanding After Sales Service Satisfaction for 1-Ton Pickup’ for two consecutive years. We truly appreciate the Thai people's support and will keep providing our Thai customers with a first-rate service,” said Mr. Eiichi Koito, president and CEO, Mitsubishi Motors Thailand.

Additionally, the Mitsubishi XPANDER, Pajero Sport, Triton Double-Cab and Single-Cab scored highest in the Initial Quality Study (IQS) survey, which monitors the number of problems experienced during the first 90 days of vehicle ownership.

Mr. Noppadol Thongkrasan, who purchased the Triton Mega Cab as his second Mitsubishi model, revealed that he has never considered buying from a different brand because he has found that Mitsubishi vehicles have very few problems.

“The Triton was my first Mitsubishi vehicle, purchased in 2005. I recently owned another Mitsubishi pickup truck. Since then, all I've done was to replace the windshield wiper motor, which only costed 180 baht. The external design of the Triton is fantastic, with very fun drive. I am amazed by the off-road capability right out of the highlands or muddy fields. I have no concerns about traveling on unpaved roads with the Mitsubishi Triton. The tight turning circle is excellent. I can stuff it full with furniture, a bed, and cabinets,” he said.

The Thailand Automotive Quality Award is a prestigious awards organization that collaborates with Custom Asia Co., Ltd., Thailand Automotive Institute, Inter-Media Consultant Co., Ltd. and Manager Newspaper annually. Mitsubishi Motors Thailand has been taking part in the TAQA program since 2008. The TAQA Award itself started its operations in 2002.
