Mitsubishi Motors Thailand Invites Esteemed Customers to Exclusive to Tour Visit State-of-the-Art Production Line and Engine Production for All-New Mitsubishi Triton

BANGKOK – December 14, 2023: Mitsubishi Motors Thailand invited esteemed customers to an exclusive tour of its production facilities to witness up-close the state-of-the-art production line for the All-New Mitsubishi Triton and the production of the ‘Hyper Power’ engine, newly developed for the All-New Mitsubishi Triton as well as the production line for the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport at Laem Chabang, Chonburi province.

The customers were thrilled and impressed with the state-of-the-art production line for the All-New Mitsubishi Triton, which is one of the most highly-automated welding lines in Thailand with an automation ratio of 95 percent with more than 250 intelligent robots. The line can assemble approximately 200,000 vehicle bodies per year that is on par with Mitsubishi Motors' domestic factories in Japan, with the highest possible degree of precision, quality, and fit and finish that exceeds what human capacity is capable of.

The customer tour also included a visit to witness the production of the ‘Hyper Power’ engine, newly-developed to power the All-New Mitsubishi Triton. The ‘Hyper Power’ engine is clean turbo-diesel, offering higher output with significantly reduced friction loss and better environmental performance. The customers were also taken on a tour of the production line for the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport, one the flagship models of Mitsubishi Motors.

Mitsubishi Motors Thailand’s facilities at Laem Chabang are currently the biggest manufacturing center outside Japan, with exports to more than 120 countries worldwide. It has also created over 400,000 job opportunities across the entire value chain, impacting a positive contribution to the Thai automotive industry, economy and infrastructure. With three assembly plants, one engine factory, one paint factory with an investment of 3 billion baht, along with the first proving ground outside Japan, making Mitsubishi Motors Thailand become the key strategic production and operation base for Mitsubishi Motors.
