Mitsubishi Motors Thailand Hosts First-Ever ‘Star Camp’ Exclusive Outdoor Event for Camping Enthusiasts

BANGKOK – December 21, 2023: Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd. recently organized the first-ever ‘Star Camp’ outdoor event in Thailand, led by Mr. Ryoichi Inaba, President and CEO of Mitsubishi Motors Thailand to deliver joy and unique experiences to seasoned campers and novices. Taking place in Nakhon Ratchasima, the event provided a range of activities from craft workshops and art sessions such as Origami, Japanese-style paper folding craft and Crafty Kite to test drives of various Mitsubishi vehicles on a specially-designed track. Participants also enjoyed the extreme experience of hot-laps on natural terrain, driven exclusively by ‘Ohm’ Chayapon Yotha, the champion of AXCR 2022.

Greeting campers at the event, Mr. Inaba said, “Mitsubishi Motors has a longstanding tradition of engaging with customers with the legendary Star Camp, an annual event held in Japan since 1991. For 32 years, this event has been pivotal in our customer engagement efforts by introducing new concepts, lifestyles, and ways to enjoy Mitsubishi vehicles.”

"The Star Camp has never been organized out of Japan – until now. This is our first-ever Star Camp, and Thailand is the first-ever venue outside Japan. This is an event for customers who love outdoor activities and quality time with family and friends, and allows us to exchange views on how our Mitsubishi vehicles are an extension of our lifestyles. This is just the first steps in our plans to increase engagements with our customers,” added Mr. Inaba.

The Star Camp event also featured special activities by partners and industry-leaders in outdoor equipment and recreation products including Coleman, TJM, Motor Homes & Caravans, and Carryboy that provided demonstrations on tenting and setting up, and displays of outdoor equipment. The evening concluded in a dinner party and mini concert by Preaw Kanitkul to round up the event with more memorable and rewarding experiences.
