“Mitsubishi Motors Thailand has continued to support for sustainable development of Thai society as a means of giving back to Thai society. The donation of six million bath is made as part of the CSR project to commemorate our 60th anniversary last year in the country, in which customers participated by purchasing Mitsubishi models marked "Special Edition" or "Passion Red Edition." The donation to three foundations reflects our contribution, covering all three of Mitsubishi Motors' core CSR pillars: environment, health, and education which is also another important goal of Mitsubishi Motors to run our business in Thailand,” said Mr. Eiichi Koito, President and CEO, Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd.

One of the three foundations is the Chaipattana Foundation, a royal charity organization founded by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej that works to provide immediate, timely, and appropriate remedies to difficulties impacting Thai people through various development projects. The second foundation, the Ramathibodi Foundation, trains medical personnel and promote public health in the country. The last one, the Information Technology Foundation under the Initiative of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, encourages education and research in information technology and science among academically disadvantaged individuals and better the lives of Thai people through the use of information technology.

As a part of Thai society, several social projects have been initiated as the CSR direction, “To Contribute and Grow with Thai Society”. The most recent CSR activity is a collaboration with health and energy officials to establish green hospitals by installing solar panels at community hospitals around the country through the “Solar for Lives” project to provide solar panel system, including yearly maintenance, for community hospitals countrywide.
