Mitsubishi Motors Thailand Charity Run#4 Raises THB 700,000 for Wat Yansangwararam Hospital in Chon Buri

BANGKOK – November 22, 2023: Mitsubishi Motors Charity Run 2023 #4, organized by Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and Mitsubishi Motors Thailand Foundation (MMTF) has successfully raised THB 700,000 for the Wat Yansangwararam Hospital in Chon Buri to support the hospital in the purchase of medical equipment. The Charity Run was in line with Mitsubishi Thailand’s commitment and its CSR direction ‘To Contribute and Grow with Thai Society’ with three main pillars that focus on Education, Environment, and Health.

Mr. Eiichi Koito, President and CEO, Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and Chairman of Mitsubishi Motors Thailand Foundation (MMTF) said, “We are delighted to hold the Mitsubishi Motors Charity Run#4 which is the fourth event for the year. This event is not only to promote health of the people who join the run but also to enhance good health and the well-being of people in the local community through our donation. That will enable the hospital to support its facilities including purchasing new equipment and medical supplies. It is in line with our CSR commitment regarding to Health.”

Dr. Sudanee Buranabenjasatean, Director of Wat Yansangwararam Hospital said, “I would like to express our gratitude to Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and Mitsubishi Motors Thailand Foundation for the donation of THB 700,000. This is the proceeds from sponsors and all the runners who supported the event. The donation will be used to purchase in-need medical equipment for the hospital, in line with our mission to improve healthcare services. It will also enhance our ability to provide more efficient and effective 24-hour healthcare services to our community and patients.”

Almost 5,000 runners participated in the event that started at the Viharn Sien, a famous Chinese shrine located in the beautiful and scenic Khao Chi Chan in the Sattahip District. Running distances ranged from a five-kilometer Fun Run to a 10-kilometer Mini Marathon.

Mr. Manus Chaipleum, one of the Mini Marathon runners in the event said, “Due to the good reputation of the event among the runners in previous years, I have decided to join the Mitsubishi Motors Charity Run#4 for the first year. This running event is so well organized. I am also impressed with the excellent atmosphere and beautiful location and pleased to help others through the donation to the hospital.”

Ms. Pattita Tiabsri, one of the Fun Run runners said, “I have participated this event since last year. Besides being the charity event, the Mitsubishi Motors Charity Run is also a great running event, especially this year that I really enjoy the beautiful running route and impressive atmosphere. I will definitely rejoin next year.”
