All-New Mitsubishi Triton Selected as Finalist for the Prestigious Thailand Car of the Year Award 2023

BANGKOK – December 1, 2023: All-New Mitsubishi Triton has been selected as one of the six finalists for the Thailand Car of the Year Award 2023, organized annually by the Thailand Automotive Journalist Association (TAJA). The award’s finalists are considered and tested for performance, comfort, design, safety, environmental-friendliness, price as well as value-for-money. The All-New Mitsubishi Triton was the only pickup truck among the finalists.

As Mitsubishi Motors’ sixth generation pickup truck, the All-New Mitsubishi Triton is fully redesigned for the first time in nine years to cater to the personal lifestyles of the new generation of pickup truck users. The focus is on delivering the utmost comfort and luxury within the cabin while enhancing the driving experience comparable to SUVs. Equipped with a full array of convenient features and high-quality materials, the trucks feature redesigned seats aimed at providing enhanced support and reducing fatigue during long drives.

The All-New Mitsubishi Triton also features the newly developed clean diesel turbo engine (Hyper Power Engine) that has improved environmental performance by significantly reducing friction loss, while achieving higher output together with the new larger chassis (Mega Frame) and new suspension to offer driving performance that is comfortable yet agile on city streets as well as on long journeys. It comes in three body types depending on the intended use – a double-cab type with two rows of seats offering both the comfort of an SUV and the utility of a pickup truck, a basic single-cab type with one row of seats, and a mega-cab type with cargo space behind the front seats that also enables reclining.

Recently, the All-New Mitsubishi Triton has won the Good Design Award 2023, organized by the Japan Institute of Design Promotion, recognizing the pickup truck’s unique design. Known as ‘Beast Mode’, the design concept combines agility with the Mitsubishi Motors' robust design to create an imposing look while expressing the toughness and powerfulness expected of a pickup truck.
