Mitsubishi Motors Thailand and MMTh Engine Achieve Seven National Safety Awards, Reinforcing the Principle “Employee Safety Is the Heart of Growth”

Bangkok – April 30, 2026: Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and MMTh Engine Co., Ltd. have received five Thailand Safety Awards 2025 presented by the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare, Ministry of Labour, and two awards from the TAIA-AIC Traffic Safety Awards 2025, organized by the Thai Automotive Industry Association and Road Safety Working Group. These achievements reaffirm the companies’ excellence in comprehensive safety standards across all aspects of their operations, encompassing both workplace safety and road safety. The awards also underscore their continued commitment to supporting national and global road safety goals aimed at achieving zero fatalities.

In receiving the Thailand Safety Awards from the Ministry of Labour, Mitsubishi Motors Thailand and MEC implemented two key initiatives: 1) WOW Safety Culture: When potential risks are identified, employees are encouraged to proactively offer recommendations for corrective actions. Likewise, individuals who receive such feedback are expected to accept it positively, take prompt corrective action, and express sincere appreciation. 2) Enhancing safety awareness through the Safety DOJO training program: This program emphasizes hands-on learning and real-life safety simulations, complemented by annual Safety Week activities that promote continuous engagement among employees at all levels.
Thailand Safety Awards 2025 – The five awards are as follows:
Mitsubishi Motors Thailand:
1. Factory 1-2: Thailand Safety Award, 6th consecutive year
2. Factory 3: Thailand Safety Award, 10th consecutive year
MMTh Engine:
1. MEC: Thailand Safety Award, 7th consecutive year
2. Press 1: Thailand Safety Award, 8th consecutive year
3. Press 2 and Plastic: Thailand Safety Award, 5th consecutive year
In addition, Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and MMTh Engine Co., Ltd. received the Platinum Award at the TAIA‑AIC Traffic Safety Awards 2025, organized by the Thai Automotive Industry Association and Road Safety Working Group. The awards aim to promote road safety awareness within the automotive and auto-parts industry and to support national and global road safety goals toward achieving zero fatalities. Both companies have implemented concrete road safety initiatives under their traffic safety policies, including helmet and seatbelt-wearing campaigns for commuting to work, safe driving skills training, and the promotion of valid driving licenses. These efforts reflect their strong commitment to enhancing safety standards in all dimensions, fostering a safe working environment, and serving as leading role models in advancing Thailand’s safety standards in a sustainable manner.
