Mitsubishi Motors Thailand Strengthens Growth with New Executive Appointments

BANGKOK – April 22, 2024: Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd. has announced the appointment of Mr. Sarote Maartlert as Executive Vice President, Sales & Aftersales. In this capacity, Mr. Sarote will oversee sales and aftersales as well as marketing, customer experience (CX) and innovation. His position will be supported by executives Mr. Taichi Nakajima who has been appointed Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing and Ms. Ritsuko Kaneko, Senior Vice President of Customer Experience & Innovation. The appointments are effective from April 1, 2024.

Mr. Sarote Maartlert

is known for his strong dedication, great business acumen, and proven leadership skills.  Prior to his current appointment, he was the Senior Vice President of Sales, Aftersales and Network Improvement, a position he has held since 2021.  As the Executive Vice President, Sales & Aftersales, he will be tasked with further strengthening sales and aftersales as well as marketing, customer experience and innovation to keep the company ahead of competition and maximize customer satisfaction.   

Mr. Taichi Nakajima

Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Mr. Taichi Nakajima will be in charge of sales operations, sales management, network & dealer development and product strategy as well as ASEAN Regional Training Center in Thailand, also known as Mitsubishi Motors Education Academy. Mr. Nakajima started his career with Mitsubishi Motors Corporation in 1998 with product strategy projects in Europe, followed by many other international markets including Russia, Australia and the Philippines, and have demonstrated his expertise in strategic development of sales and marketing operations.  

Ms. Ritsuko Kaneko

Bringing expertise to customer experience and innovation is Ms. Ritsuko Kaneko. She started her career with Mitsubishi Motors Corporation in 1997. With keen experiences in Sales Improvement in Japan, Global Marketing Planning and Customer Communications, she has been appointed as the Senior Vice President, Customer Experience & Innovation to take charge of marketing communication, digital strategy, customer relations, public relations, aftersales, global parts & accessories, and field service.

As Thailand is a key strategic market for Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, the new appointments are structured to strengthen the company’s leadership in Thailand, regionally and globally. To achieve its position as a core business and production hub of Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, Mitsubishi Motors Thailand has continuously driven the growth plan with investment including the new production line for All-New Triton of more than 250 state-of-the-art robots and its new ‘Hyper Power’ engine, newly developed for the All-New Triton in 2023 as well as the THB 3-billion Laem Chabang paint facility powered by world-class, eco-friendly technologies in 2022.

Additionally, the company has been investing over THB 500 million to develop a production line at the third Mitsubishi automotive factory in Laem Chabang, Chon Buri, to produce xEV vehicles starting with the Mitsubishi XPANDER HEV and XPANDER CROSS HEV. This will take place alongside the original production of eco-cars.
