This marks the 13th hospital supported under the company’s 10-year mission to install solar cell systems in 40 community hospitals nationwide. The initiative aims to promote clean energy usage, reduce hospital operating expenses, and minimize environmental impact, contributing to Thailand’s long-term carbon neutrality goals. To date, the total installed capacity has exceeded 650 kilowatts.

Mr. Sarote Maartlert, Executive Vice President of Sales, Aftersales, and Customer Experience, Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd., stated, “The ‘Solar for Lives’ project represents more than just installing clean energy systems; it is our commitment to strengthening healthcare accessibility in local communities. By transforming ‘energy costs’ into ‘medical opportunities,’ hospitals can reallocate their budgets toward medical equipment, treatment technologies, and enhanced patient care. At the same time, this initiative promotes the use of renewable energy within the public healthcare sector. It serves as a practical model for sustainable energy management at the community level. For Long Hospital in Phrae Province, the project is expected to reduce electricity expenses by up to 300,000 baht per year, reflecting Mitsubishi Motors Thailand’s dedication to conducting business responsibly while giving back to society and local communities.”

Dr. Warawut Somboon, Director of Long Hospital, said, “We sincerely thank Mitsubishi Motors Thailand and all partner organizations for recognizing the needs of Long Hospital in Phrae Province. As a small community hospital with limited budget resources, this solar cell system is tremendously valuable. It will help us reduce operating costs and enhance our capability to improve the quality of medical services. Moreover, the adoption of renewable energy marks an important step for community hospitals in transitioning toward environmentally responsible operations, ultimately contributing to a better quality of life for the local population.”
