Mitsubishi Motors Thailand and MMTh Engine Receive Five 2024 Zero Accident Awards Including Platinum-Level Recognition, Factory 3 received the Platinum Award for the third consecutive year!
BANGKOK – July 9, 2024: Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and MMTh Engine Co., Ltd. continue to showcase its commitment to maintaining an excellent record in occupational safety by receiving a total of five 2024 Zero Accident Awards for its factories from the Thailand Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (Public Organization) in conjunction with THAILAND SAFE @ WORK #36. The prestigious awards highlight the company’s world-class occupational health and safety practices. The units being recognized for exceptional safety standards include Platinum Award for Factory 1-2 and Factory 3, Gold Award for MMTh Engine Factory, Silver for Press 2 and Plastic Factory, and Copper Award for Press 1 Factory.

MMTh Factory 1 and 2 were honored with the highest Platinum-level Award for the first time, achieving a safety performance milestone of an accumulative 55.5 million accident-free work hours. Meanwhile, MMTh Factory 3 received the Platinum Award for the third consecutive year with a safety performance record of an accumulative 31.6 million accident-free work hours.
Earning the Gold Trophy for the second consecutive year, MMTh Engine maintained its safety performance with an accumulative 12.2 million accident-free work hours. For the first year, Press #2 and Plastic units received the Silver Trophy thanks to a remarkable safety performance of an accumulative 3.4 million accident-free work hours. For the Copper Trophy, Press #1 has kept it for three consecutive years with a recorded accumulation of 1.2 million accident-free working hours.
The Zero Accident Campaign, initiated by the Thailand Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (Public Organization). This year's theme, 'Forward Culture of Prevention for Safety Thailand,' underscores the importance of fostering a safety-first culture not only within our organization but also across all sectors, The award is grounded in the belief that work-related accidents are preventable, as it encourages businesses to commit to preventing workplace accidents. The campaign aims to achieve its goal of reducing workplace injuries to zero through ongoing planning and management of safety, occupational health, and work environment. This involves cultivating a safety-focused culture centered on occupational health and safety.
