Mitsubishi Motors Thailand Donates New 4N16 Engines and Powertrain Sets to Chiangrai Industrial and Community Education College to Enhance Technical Skills Development

BANGKOK – July 23, 2024: Mitsubishi Motors Thailand recently donated two units of the newly-developed 4N16 turbo-diesel engine and powertrain set to the Chiang Rai Industrial and Community Education College, to help strengthen the development of the vocational workforce with knowledge and abilities that can keep up with changes in modern automotive technology, and enhance employability and career opportunities.

 

The latest high-tech 4N16 turbo-diesel engine, fitted into the All-New Mitsubishi Triton, along with other vehicle Powertrain Sets, will be used as learning material to provide automotive engineering students with a deeper understanding, insight and learning into the latest state-of-the-art technology that is currently used by global automotive manufacturers.

 

Mr. Sarote Maartlert, Executive Vice President of Sales & Aftersales, Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd. said, “Mitsubishi Motors Thailand and Mitsupanlan have continuously developed the quality of sales and aftersales service by focusing on developing personnel skills and abilities in collaboration with various educational institutions. We recognize the potential in managing and developing students, learners, and communities are pleased to support educational equipment and enhance learning through our online learning system and donations to the Chiangrai Industrial and Community Education College.”

 

Mrs. Piyaporn Phoonphoem, Director of Chiang Rai Industrial and Community Education College said, “We are very gratified and deeply thankful to the contributions by Mitsubishi Motors Thailand and Mitsupanlan. This will enhance the teaching and learning experience for automotive students in our institution. This collaboration will contribute to the development of skilled professionals who can adapt to the changing automotive landscape, enhancing their careers and opportunities in the automotive industry.”

 

Mr. Somkiat Nimitrungtawee, Managing Director of Mitsupanlan Co., Ltd. added, “The industry’s growth has increased demand for skilled personnel, especially automotive technicians. To address this, Mitsupanlan has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Chiangrai Industrial and Community Education College to ensure sustainability in developing quality personnel in Thailand's automotive industry ecosystem. This collaboration will support the college’s mission and provide real-world work experiences for the students. Teachers will also receive training so they can effectively impart knowledge, enabling them to convey the excellence of Mitsubishi Motors Vehicles.” Additionally, Mitsupanlan also showcased the Mitsubishi XPANDER CROSS HEV, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport 2024 and All-New Triton ATHLETE 4WD at the event for test-drives.

 

The engine donation project was established since 2015, in-line with the company’s commitment to educating and developing a sustainable talent pool for the automotive industry. It is also a part of the company’s CSR direction ‘To Contribute and Grow with Thai Society’ supported by three main pillars that includes Education, Environment and Health.

 

In addition to the Chiang Rai Industrial and Community Education College, Mitsubishi Motors Thailand has also recently collaborated with other technical institutions across the country, with donations of modern high-tech engines and powertrain sets to institutions including the Saraphi Technical College, Maesod Technical College, Nakhon Si Thammarat Technical College Suphanburi Technical College and Chonburi Technical College.
