Mitsubishi Motors Thailand and MMTh Engine Achieve 6 Green Industry Awards, Reinforcing 7Rs Green Culture

Bangkok – September 30, 2025: Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and MMTh Engine Co., Ltd.
have been recognized with the 2025 Green Industry Level 4 Award by the Department of Industrial Works, Ministry of Industry, at the 2025 Green Industry Awards Ceremony. The achievement was awarded to six facilities, including Factory 1 and 2, Factory 3, Proving Ground, MMTh Engine factory, Press 1 and Press 2, and Plastic. This achievement underscores the company’s commitment through the implementation of the 7Rs green culture and ongoing sustainability initiatives.
Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and MMTh Engine Co., Ltd. have integrated the 7Rs Green Culture as a key operational framework through the following principles:
- Rethink: Adjusting mindsets towards more environmentally friendly lifestyles.
- Reduce: Conserving energy and using resources efficiently and responsibly.
- Reuse: Promoting the use of reusable materials within the organization.
- Recycle: Proper waste segregation to enhance recycling efficiency.
- Repair/Repropose: Considering the repair or repurposing of materials to reduce waste.
- Refuse: Avoiding the use of single-use products.
- Return: Planting trees to expand green areas.
Mr. Nobuhiko Koizumi, Executive Vice President of Factory Unit of Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd., said, “We are extremely proud to have received the Green Industry Level 4 Award for the second consecutive year. This recognition reflects Mitsubishi Motors Thailand’s strong commitment to operating with social and environmental responsibility. We continuously apply advanced technologies and innovations in our production processes, such as using robots in the painting process to reduce material usage and emissions and using Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) to transfer parts efficiently and lower energy consumption. Furthermore, Mitsubishi Motors is committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, with an interim goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions 50% by 2030.”
The Green Industry Awards 2025, held under the theme “Together We Grow Greener” reflects the vision of “Sustainable Industrial Growth Alongside Communities.” The initiative underscores a strong commitment to enhancing the competitiveness of the industrial sector, driving economic growth in Thailand. A key focus is the promotion of the Green Economy or Eco-friendly Economy by encouraging industries to adjust their environmentally friendly production processes, thereby strengthening the foundation for long-term sustainable economic development."
