MMTh Engine Receives the “Green Star–White Flag Award 2025” from the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand for the Second Time, Continuing Its Commitment to Sustainable and Responsible Operations

Bangkok – February 23, 2026: MMTh Engine Co., Ltd. has been recognized with the “Green Star – White Flag Award 2025” from the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT) at the Environmental Governance Award 2025. The company received an excellent rating across all five assessment dimensions, including the Physical Dimension, Economic Dimension, Environmental Dimension, Social Dimension, and Management Dimension.
To qualify for the award, factories must have no operational complaints and must not experience any serious accidents resulting in production suspension during the evaluation period. This achievement underscores Mitsubishi Motors Thailand’s commitment to upholding high standards of environmental governance while encouraging public participation in factory oversight, ensuring sustainable coexistence between the industrial sector and surrounding communities.

 

Mr. Nobuhiko Koizumi, Executive Vice President of Factory Unit of Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd., said,

We remain committed to strengthening transparency, accountability, and public participation in monitoring factory operations, ensuring that our efforts continue to improve and become even more effective in the future.”

 

MMTh Engine Co., Ltd. was recognized for its excellence in operations and evaluation across all five assessment dimensions. Under the Physical Dimension, the company maintains well-organized factory premises and landscaping, with a strong emphasis on green area development and a clearly designed stormwater–wastewater separation system to minimize impacts on the environment and surrounding communities. For the Economic Dimension, the company supports local economic growth by promoting community-based businesses, including providing designated retail spaces for local vendors to help create income and employment opportunities.

For the Environmental Dimension, MMTh Engine manages green areas totaling 4,858 square meters, accounting for 10% of the factory’s total area, and is certified as a Green Industry Level 4 (Green Culture) facility by the Ministry of Industry. The factory also operates legally compliant pollution‑control systems, manages industrial waste under a Zero Landfill approach, and promotes efficient resource utilization.

 

As part of the Social Dimension, MMTh Engine plays a crucial role in community engagement through various CSR initiatives. These include donating solar-powered electrical systems to local community hospitals under the “Solar for Lives: Solar” project, providing employment opportunities for persons with disabilities to support income generation, and establishing communication channels for stakeholder feedback and complaints to help translate community input into concrete operational improvements.

 

Lastly, under the Management Dimension, the factory places a strong emphasis on operational transparency and maintains robust audit and monitoring systems certified under ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
The company has also received the Zero Accident Campaign 2025 Award for the sixth consecutive year, recognizing its continued commitment to reducing workplace accidents to zero.

 

The Environmental Governance Award 2025 was held under the theme “GREEN GOLD GROWTH for Sustainability.” A total of 201 factories received the “Green Star – White Flag” Award, while 53 factories were honored with the “Gold Star – White Flag” Award in recognition of their strong environmental performance.
This initiative aims to elevate industrial estates to international standards, support the national goal of achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, promote the Circular Economy to reduce waste, and advance factories toward sustainable Green Industry standards.
