Series Hybrid Mode Electric
The motors power the vehicle using electricity generated by the engine. The engine does this when the battery is running low, immediate acceleration or increasing power for climbing slopes.
Parallel Hybrid Mode
The engine powers the vehicle using when rapid acceleration with assistance from the motors when extra power or high speed is required.
Charging the Battery
A plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) has both a conventional engine and a motor. The latter is powered by a battery, which can be recharged from an external power supply. Charging is convenient and easy: you can either plug it into a household plug, a special home charging unit, or one of the many public charging stations.
