Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Outstanding Performance, Excellent Safety
New Design. Dynamic. Cool. Exuding a combined sensation between smoothness and unparalleled power. The front grille’s upper section shines a luxurious glare of premium lifestyles. The lower section personifies durability and spaciousness, while the grille slits provide ample space between each other for air flow to ventilate heat in the engine room. As for the large Mitsubishi logo in the middle of the front grille speaks volumes for the Mitsubishi brand and doubles as the location for frontal impact collision sensors and frontal impact delay system as well.
Projector style front headlights come in stylish design and are installed in an upward trajectory angle along the edges of the front grille. If viewed from the front, the bystander will feel sensual emotions in conjunction with a feeling that the vehicle is much wider.
Accentuated design lines flow from the headlights to the mid section of the front door. This clever design meets with a matching line swooping from the rear tail lights to the mid section of the rear doors resulting in a free flowing aerodynamic sensation.
An overfender or the front and rear wheel arches feature distinct edges with trims to give that robust and durable feeling while navigating on any type of road condition.
The A-Pillars feature a more slanted look to result in improved aerodynamics with reduced wind forces coming in contact with the vehicle. Less wind noise equals a quiet comfortable interior cabin.
The interior cabin features newly designed seats for extra comfort. Front seats feature electric 5-direction adjustability with an adjustable tilt/telescoping steering wheel which is collapsible. The multi-function steering wheel is ergonomically positioned to complement the driver’s position. Various functions are featured on the multi-function steering wheel such as vehicle speed, and gear mode changes (allowing the driver to maintain total concentration while driving).
Drive with confidence for enhanced safety features with the wide-angled camera installed on the top of the vehicle for a Panoramic view of surroundings. Easy parking maneuvers in narrow areas; and prevention of potential scratches from obstacles as well. While driving on the road, the is a sensor for lane-change in case of a vehicle traffic in blind angles; safe lane changes are guaranteed. Apart from the frontal impact sensor which employs a signal sent to the control unit which then deploys a warning to slow down vehicle speed – the braking performance is also further enhanced with additional braking power for a predictable and responsive braking performance.
At speeds of less than 10kph, and if an object is in front of the vehicle of no more than 5 meters while the driver accidentally engages the accelerator – the sensor will reduce engine power until vehicle control is achieved; the result is a reduced loss in potential damage which may result from vehicle collisions.
The Mitsubishi engine features an in-line 4-cylinder motor with engine displacement of 2,442 cc, DOHC MIVEC with 5 valves per cylinder and variable geometry turbo intercooler capable of compression ratio of 15.5 to 1 for maximum power of 178 hp at 2,500 rpm and maximum torque of 430 Nm at 2,500 rpm transferred to its 8-speed automatic transmission; the manual gear variant 4W features 4 drive modes comprising rear wheel drive, full-time 4WD or 4 H Full time All Wheel Control for driving in curving cornering roads, dry and wet road conditions. A control unit distributes power to suit road conditions. And then there is the 4 HLc mode for slippery road conditions or you can opt for the 4 LLc drive mode which is suitable for tough off-road conditions or muddy road conditions. Also featured is a speed reducing system for downward inclinations which reduces the use of all 4 disc brakes and a system which prevents the vehicle from progressing backwards while attempting steep climbs as well.
Apart from the aforementioned systems by the New Mitsubishi Pajero Sport which is superior to the rest of its competition, featured is a suspension system with coil-spring setup on all 4 wheels which delivers a smooth comfortable ride for all vehicle occupants. Simply put, “You have to experience it yourself with a test drive in order to understand in its entirety what the new pajero Sport offers in terms of performance, comfort and value.”
